Swan News 19 (2024) now available online!

Issue no. 19 of Swan News, 2024

We’re delighted to report that the latest issue of Swan News – Swan News 19 – is now available online in the Resources (Newsletters) section of the Swan SG website. This includes an overview of the Proceedings of the 7^th International Swan Symposium, results of the 42^nd International Bewick’s Swan age counts in Europe, and several news items and papers. The latter on subjects ranging from the status of Mute Swans in China and the “Swan Project” in Japan to a comparison of GPS tracking vs. traditional ring resightings for determining the spatial distribution of Bewick’s Swans in winter and updates on swans at sites in Chile.

Contributions to the next issue – Swan News 20 – are now most welcome. Please therefore send any announcements, reports, updates and news items to Carl Mitchell in the next few months. Carl has requested that this be his last issue as Editor of Swan News, so let’s make it a good one!
